Women On The Dark Side
I founded Women On The Dark Side because heard from so many women/those who identify as female, like me, who had their creative output questioned because it didn't meet some sort of societal requirement that women only make lighter, softer content. As a director and writer, my soul leans over to the dark side of things and I discovered a whole community of female-identifying creators who also created the same way. Thus. WOTDS was born. I have been humbled and flattered to be. joined on stage - and now online - by some of the most intriguing female-identifying creators I have ever met.
As with the panels that have been featured at pop culture conventions all over the country, the idea behind the podcast is to assemble the best people possible to talk about what leads us to create what we create, try and define what "dark" means, and discuss the state of not just entertainment media today, but the state of the world today and what part we play in it. The discussion often gets very personal, hopefully is insightful, and quite frequently gets rowdy and raucous. And I would have it no other way.
The podcast will be released monthly.
Available soon on Apple Podcasts.
